R.A. Smith National’s Pete Brothers Attains Land Surveyor Licensure in Maryland

Oakmont, Pa. —Pete Brothers, survey manager and 3D laser scanning manager at R.A. Smith National — a nationwide, multi-disciplined civil and structural engineering and surveying firm — has attained his Professional Land Surveyor (Prof. L.S.) license in the state of Maryland. He manages all surveying services out of R.A. Smith National’s Oakmont office.

Brothers has more than 24 years of experience on a wide range of surveying projects, including boundary, and topographic surveys; construction staking, and 3D laser scanning. From GPS to 3D laser scanning to unmanned aircraft systems, Brothers has always utilized the newest surveying technology. His projects have included U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects at Fort Meade, Hoover Dam bypass bridge, Cracker Plant at Monaca, Veterans Administration hospitals, Gulf Oil terminals, steel mills, nuclear plants, airports, medical centers and others.

In addition to Maryland, Brothers also holds a Prof. L.S. license in Pennsylvania. He serves on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors–Southwest Chapter.
