Elyria, OH — December 21, 2015 – KS Associates Inc., a civil-transportation engineering and surveying firm located in Elyria, Ohio, is pleased to announce that Hamid V. Homaee, P.E., has joined the firm as Principal. He is KS Associates’ first new Principal since the company was founded by Lynn S. Miggins, P.E., President and Mark Skellenger, P.E., Vice President in 1987.
In addition to his primary role of strategic firm leadership, Homaee will guide the firm’s efforts to grow its Transportation Group, which provides planning, design, and construction-related services for transportation infrastructure projects. Prior to joining KS Associates, Homaee established a 30-plus year track record of contributing to the growth and prosperity of regional and national engineering firms. In his new role, Homaee will be responsible for working directly with KS Associates’ transportation clients including Ohio Department of Transportation; Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission; Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority; other transit authorities, counties, and municipalities throughout Ohio; and private-sector clients.

Homaee is a Professional Engineer licensed in eight states including Ohio. He has a Master of Science degree in structural engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in structural engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology.
