Matt has more than 35 years of experience in surveying and geospatial business management for clients in energy, transportation, land development, and public sector markets.
Most recently Matt was the National Renewable Energy Director and Director of Surveying at Merrick & Company in Denver, where he was responsible for financial performance, business development, and operations of the surveying group. As head of their Wind Energy Initiative, he developed advanced expertise with the successful delivery of geospatial services for several large scale wind energy projects. Over the course of his career, his clients have included numerous energy companies and departments of transportation in the Western US, including the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Georgia Transmission Corporation, and the Washington Department of Transportation.
Matt is a licensed surveyor in multiple states and an active member in several industry associations including the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Master Builders Association (MBA), and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
With SAM, Matt will provide a leadership role in expanding our services across the region.
