Rochester Hills, MI (February 19, 2014) – Spalding DeDecker Associates, Inc. (SDA), a national civil engineering, landscape architectural, and surveying firm, names Cheryl L. Gregory, PE Director of Engineering. With 26 years of experience in the engineering industry, Cheryl serves as a vice president and director for the firm. As Director of Engineering, she will oversee SDA’s municipal, transportation, land development, and construction engineering operations.
Cheryl Gregory, PE received a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Lawrence Technological University. Ms. Gregory holds Professional Engineering licenses in Michigan, Illinois, and Texas. Cheryl belongs to the American Society of Civil Engineers, Institute of Transportation Engineers, and Women’s Transportation Seminar, and is also a Chapter Honor Member of Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society.
Ms. Gregory has experience providing project management, QA/QC, design oversight and construction administration on various highway reconstruction / rehabilitation, roadway capital preventative maintenance and enhancement program projects for State, County, and Local jurisdictions. With nearly 15 years of prior experience with MDOT, she is well-versed in State and Federal design standards and policies, as well as the practical applications for local governments. Her experience encompasses road design, traffic safety, environmental assessments, public engagement, non-motorized paths, storm sewer systems, utility coordination, permitting processes, and geotechnical investigation. Cheryl is also knowledgeable in funding issues. Her unique combination of construction, design, and administrative experience enables her to expertly review and oversee the production of high-quality construction plans and specifications.

Jenean Robbins, PE hired as Construction Project Manager

(SDA), a national civil engineering, landscape architectural, and surveying firm, hires Jenean Robbins, PE as Construction Project Manager within their Engineering Department. With 13 years of experience in the engineering industry, Ms. Robbins will manage MDOT and local agency construction projects.
Jenean Robbins, PE received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2003 and an M.S. in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) in 2006 from Wayne State University in Detroit. Ms. Robbins holds Professional Engineering licenses in Michigan and North Carolina. She is an NBIS Qualified Program Manager for Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and SESC Comprehensive and Storm Water Management Operator. Jenean is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Ms. Robbins’ primary focus has been performing construction engineering services including field inspections and engineering assistance for MDOT projects such as the Detroit Gateway, one of the state’s largest construction projects. Ms. Robbins is well-versed in State and Federal design standards and policies and the practical applications for local governments, and is knowledgeable in funding issues. She will skillfully guide the acquisition of additional MDOT prequalifications and will play a significant role in future projects.
