Brett Smith, PE Joins SAM-Construction Services, Inc. in Dallas Office

Austin, Texas. — May 7, 2013 — SAM-Construction Services, Inc. (SAM-CS, Inc.) is pleased to announce that Brett Smith, PE has joined the firm as Vice President. With sixteen years of project management experience in the transportation sector, Brett will have a leadership role in business development to help expand our construction phase services nationally.

Brett has spent the last decade performing project management for tolling authorities and has held management positions for some of the largest toll road projects in Texas, including the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Dallas. His transportation and construction engineering experience includes program administration of large design-build and design-bid-build projects. He also has extensive expertise with facilities maintenance, quality acceptance and quality control, utility coordination, and project controls and scheduling for assignments of varying size and complexity.

With SAM-CS, Inc., Brett will manage the company’s service programs for transportation, electric transmission, oil and gas, and water/wastewater projects in northern Texas. His responsibilities will incorporate construction engineering and inspection, contract administration, implementation of QA/QC programs, and development of construction/materials quality manuals and specifications. Additionally, Brett will have a lead role in developing LiDAR-based data collection applications and other state-of-the-art technologies for construction phase projects.

Brett’s familiarity with the management of large, complex transportation projects will be a tremendous asset to SAM-CS, Inc. as we continue to expand our market presence. We are very pleased to have Brett on board and look forward to his contributions.
