Merrick & Company Awarded New Contracts

Aurora, CO – October 21, 2011 – Merrick has been awarded several new contracts including: 

Merrick Civil Engineering was selected for On-Call Public Works contract with the City of Castle Pines, CO; design of one mile of 4-lane roadway widening for West Quincy Avenue  and a Flood Plain Letter of Map Revision for West Chatfield Avenue for Jefferson County, CO; design of rehabilitative road surface improvements for the Town of Deer Trail, Arapahoe County, CO; and finally, design repairs to airfield pavements at Dobbins Air Force Base, GA. Merrick’s Charlotte office was also awarded design of  two residential developments for Lennar Homes and R.K. Investments in Charlotte, NC. 

Merrick GeoSpatial Solutions has been awarded additional work under its engineering service on-call contract with the City & County of Denver (Denver, CO) to provide range point recovery and rehabilitation services throughout Denver, and has been retained to provide remote sending and analysis services for an exploration client in South America. 

Merrick Life Sciences has been awarded several commissioning projects including work for The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) B50 Assessment Services and the Pentagon Emergency Response Center BSL-3 Lab.  Merrick also secured a new contract from the University of California Los Angeles’ (UCLA) California NanoSystems Institute for Bldg. 3 BSL3e Lab Commissioning. 

Merrick Nuclear Services & Technology team was awarded a contract by the National Institute of Standards and Technology to design and fabricate a specialized vacuum vessel called the Pre-Sample Vessel and Support Assembly for the Very Small Angle Neutron Spectrometer (VSANS).  This system will be used to house instruments for a new neutron beam line at the NIST Center for Neutron Research, Gaithersburg, MD.

Merrick National Security Facilities was awarded a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) nationwide contract through the Fort Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, TX.  Merrick is a major sub consultant to Blair Remy Architects in support of the Mobile District Military Construction Design Program.
