Giffels-Webster Engineers Promotes Scott Clein to Executive Vice President

Detroit, Mich., June 8, 2011 — Giffels-Webster Engineers announced that Scott Clein has been promoted from associate to executive vice president.

“With more than 16 years of experience in civil engineering, and 14 of those years here at Giffels-Webster, Scott’s strategic thinking and planning has been a positive asset to our clients and the communities in the area,” said Loren Crandell, president, Giffels-Webster Engineers.

Clein oversees and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm’s Detroit office and has supervised the design and implementation of hundreds of projects throughout Southeast Michigan. His expertise lies in helping public and private clients successfully plan, design and implement the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Louisiana, Ohio and Arizona. Clein also holds the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design Accredited Professional certification.

He is member of the Economic Club of Detroit, American Institute of Architects Michigan Chapter, U.S. Green Building Council and Leadership Detroit XXXI with the Detroit Regional Chamber. Clein earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Wayne State University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of Michigan.
