Miami, FL January 25, 2011 – Andrew Conner, P.S.M., Vice President of Surveying Operations at Biscayne Engineering Company in Miami, Florida, is now the newest Director on the board. He was appointed to the position at the company’s January board meeting. Biscayne is the oldest company in Miami, beginning operations in 1898.
Conner joined Biscayne in June 2007.Conner has a family lineage of previous surveyors as both his father and grandfather before him were professional Surveyors and Mappers. He is a Miami native and a graduate of Miami Norland High School. He attended Miami-Dade and Broward Community Colleges where he studied Land Surveying.
Conner received his professional registration in 2000 from the Department of Business and Professional Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers for the State of Florida.
Before joining BEC, Conner worked as a Professional Land Surveyor and Mapper for Miami-Dade County Public Works Department. He started his career with an established firm in Miami Beach from 1987 to 2000 as a Professional Land Surveyor, Land Platting Coordinator, Project Manager, Computer Draftsman, Field Crew and Party Chief.
Conner is a member of the Miami-Dade County Chapter of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors and Mappers. He is involved as a volunteer coach with his son’s Little League team and served as a board member with the League.
