TECTERRA Announces a New Call for Proposals for Geomatics Prototyping and Pilot Projects in Alberta

Calgary, January, 20, 2011: TECTERRA Inc. launched a new funding opportunity today that provides support for geomatics technology prototyping and pilot projects (p2P) in Alberta. The p2P funding is accessible through a Call for Proposals (CFP) and is available for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). The objective of this funding program is to assist companies in the commercialization of their geomatics solutions for integrated resource management and other geospatial information management applications.

“We’re pleased to include the p2P program as a part of TECTERRA’s overall suite of funding programs,” says Richard Gorecki, TECTERRA’s Director of Commercialization. “This program will provide companies with the financial capacity they need in order to take their geomatics technology through the last phase of development and validation and bring the product to the marketplace.”

The projects sought under this CFP are open to Alberta SME companies, including start-up companies, with proven technology ready for prototyping, testing and pilot stages prior to full scale implementation and commercialization.

TECTERRA’s contribution under this CFP will vary by project and will generally range from $100K to $400K per project, up to 75 per cent of the total project cost.

This CFP features an accelerated turn-around time with the full proposal application deadline being February 17, 2011. Visit www.tecterra.com, in the Commercialization section for the full proposal application form and for more details about the program and its criteria.
