RETTEW Promotes Young to Chief Financial Officer

Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, recently promoted Gregory L. Young, CPA, to chief financial officer of the firm. Young previously served RETTEW as controller.  

“Greg’s transition from controller to CFO is a natural fit and one for which he is well groomed and qualified,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president, RETTEW. “I congratulate him on a well-deserved promotion.” 

As CFO, Young is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities at RETTEW. He is also responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial services service area and for oversight of matters relating to financial reporting, contract administration, project administration and corporate professional insurance. 

RETTEW welcomed Young as assistant controller of financial services in 2000 and in 2004 named him shareholder based on his leadership and dedication to the organization. In 2006, the firm promoted Young to controller, responsible for managing RETTEW’s financial services team, directing the firm’s accounting functions and processes and overseeing financial and managerial reporting and compliance.

A 1991 graduate of Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Young is a certified public accountant with nearly 20 years of professional experience. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Young also serves as assistant fire chief of the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company, Lancaster County, and has been a volunteer firefighter for the past 24 years. He resides in Lititz, Lancaster County.
