Haskell Joins Merrick

Aurora, CO – Nov. 16, 2010 – Torin Haskell, GISP, has joined Merrick & Company as business development director for the geospatial solutions group. He had previously been with the firm from 1996 to 2006 when he served as technical account manager. In his new role, Haskell will be responsible for developing new business within the energy and infrastructure markets, including utilities and power transmission.

Most recently, Haskell directed the development and management of a geospatial software company, QCoherent, that was eventually purchased by GeoCue Corporation. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, with a BA in distributed studies with an emphasis in geology and holds an MBA from Regis University.

Merrick & Company, an $100 million geospatial, engineering, architecture, design-build, and surveying firm, serves domestic and international clients by providing geospatial technologies, products, and services for the infrastructure, energy, and security markets. The firm’s most recent work includes providing terrestrial scanning for an electrical substation for Xcel Energy and acquiring light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data for F.E. Warren Air Force Base and for a wind farm located in Kansas. Merrick maintains eight offices in the U.S. as well as two offices in Mexico and an office in Canada.
