Critigen Extends Business Partner Agreement with Trimble; Earns Platinum Status with Esri

One year following CH2M HILL divestiture, Critigen demonstrates deep alignment with geospatial industry leaders

Denver, July 28, 2010 – Critigen, a global technology consultancy, announced it has aligned with the leaders in the geospatial industry, becoming a Platinum Tier Partner with Esri and creating an expanded business partner agreement with Trimble, including support of Trimble Utility Field Solutions and initiatives in the utility industry.

“Product interoperability and service delivery are going to be critical to maintaining geospatial’s reach into a number of vertical markets,” said Rand Knight, senior vice president and general manager of spatial information management. “By forming business partner relationships and alliances, Critigen and others in the market will ensure that spatial data is delivered in new and innovative ways in the years ahead. It’s not merely about volume; it is about the degree of integration we can achieve and the impact that integration has on customer adoption of location data and its use across the globe.”

Integrating and Extending Offerings with Trimble
Critigen has expanded its business partner agreement originally established in 2005 between Trimble’s Mapping & GIS division and Critigen’s former parent, CH2MHILL. Now a direct relationship, the companies will continue to work together to create blended solutions that incorporate Trimble’s technology with Critigen’s portfolio. Together the two companies’ offerings will include data collection, data conversion, GIS implementation, Web deployment, hosted solutions, business intelligence and consulting services.

Both Critigen and Trimble have a rich heritage in servicing the utilities industry, and this market will be an initial area of emphasis. For example, Critigen will serve as a key implementation partner in the successful delivery of Trimble Utility Field Solutions (TUFS) offerings, which include a number of field-centric solutions for electric and water utilities, including data collection, asset management, outage management, design and fleet management. Critigen’s visualization expertise will be tapped to extend the TUFS offerings so that joint customers have access to richer business intelligence tools and visualization dashboards.

Achieving Esri Platinum Status
The Esri Partner Network is a worldwide community of companies that develop and deliver cutting-edge GIS solutions and services based on Esri technology. It is a global program with benefits designed to reward partners for their commitment to Esri. The Platinum Tier partnership is a selective designation for industry-leading companies with global reach and a multinational customer base.

“Integration with Esri will be an ongoing success factor as Critigen continues to work on geospatial programs with customers – and again – the degree of tight integration required by customers today means we are all working to create greater efficiencies and visibility into our collective work,” said Knight.

Eligibility for becoming an Esri Platinum Tier Partner is based on competencies and the level of engagement with Esri across a range of areas based on customer satisfaction surveys, revenue, defined market offerings, established commitment, engagement, market reach and dedicated resources.

According to Josh Lewis, Director, Esri Partner Network, Critigen is the first official Esri Platinum Tier Partner. “We’ve worked with Critigen for many years as a part of CH2M HILL and believe both companies, and the geospatial community as a whole, will benefit from this designation,” he said.
