Salmon Joins PBS&J’s Applied Technologies Group

Orlando, FL – 2/23/2010 – Frank Salmon, GISP, joined PBS&J’s design and federal group as a project manager for the applied technologies group (ATG). Salmon will be responsible for growing the ATG’s GIS and information technology practice in the central Florida region.

With more than 15 years of GIS experience, Salmon has extensive expertise in developing decision support systems and performing spatial analyses using ESRI’s ArcGIS products. His background also includes responsibility for regional and national GIS coordination, ArcGIS programming, ArcGIS server development and administration, software testing, environmental assessments, and project management within the engineering and environmental industry. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida, teaching fundamental theory of GIS and offering practical, hands-on training using ArcGIS version 9.3.

Salmon is a member of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA). In 2000, he was awarded the Graduate Project of the Year award by the North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association for his project “GIS-Based Suitability Assessment for a Signature Park Location, Concord, NC.”
