Cliff Simental and Bruce Kirby Join Psomas

Riverside, CA (January 13, 2009) – Psomas is pleased to announce that Cliff Simental and Bruce Kirby have joined Psomas in the firm’s Inland Empire office located in Riverside. Simental will serve as survey team leader and Kirby as the leader of the land development team.

Simental (right) is a registered professional land surveyor with more than 34 years of surveying experience throughout California.  He has a broad background in performing design, construction, topographic, hydrographic, boundary, and cadastral surveys.  Simental has served as project manager for survey contracts for various Caltrans Districts throughout California, the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC), San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG), the Orange County Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA), and local agencies, as well as numerous private sector clients.  In addition, Simental has served as project manager for contracts with the Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Department of the Navy, and the Federal Highway Administration.

Prior to joining Psomas, Simental was a senior vice president and the regional manager for the Southern California offices of David Evans & Associates, Inc.

Simental is a graduate of the ACEC Senior Executives Institute and received his surveying education from San Bernardino Valley College.  In addition, he earned a Certificate in Supervisory Excellence from the University of California, Riverside.  He is a registered professional land surveyor in California and Nevada.

Bruce Kirby, P.E. (left) brings to Psomas clients the benefit of his broad range of experience on both public and private projects throughout Southern California and specifically in the Inland Empire.

A professional engineer registered in California, Oregon, and Washington, Kirby has directed the design of numerous transportation, education, healthcare, institutional, and civic projects as well as numerous residential, retail, commercial, industrial, and recreational projects.

Prior to joining Psomas, Kirby was a senior managing principal for Stantec Consulting with leadership positions in the Ontario, San Diego, and Irvine offices.  His experience includes being the principal in charge of the design for miles of backbone infrastructure improvements for various large scale master-planned communities throughout Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties.

Kirby is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona.
