Leipzig, Germany (September 26, 2007) – Carlson Software Inc. announced today at INTERGEO conference and trade fair here that Carrie Jones has been promoted to Director of the Data Collection Division of Carlson Software.
“In this role,” says Bruce Carlson, president of Carlson Software, “Carrie will manage a team of expert programmers and oversee product development in survey data collection, GIS data logging, and construction layout.”
A 10-year employee at Carlson Software, Jones has a BS in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering in both Civil Engineering and Information Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jones, who specializes in C/C++ object-oriented programming and Microsoft Windows CE development, will manage and direct the Carlson SurvCE team at Carlson Software. Jones has been an integral part of the development of Carlson SurvCE, the most powerful data collection software on the market today.
“Carrie has helped Carlson Software build relationships with numerous partners including Leica, Magellan, Sokkia, Navcom, and Pentax and with large dealers such as Inland Group of Spain and Laser Specialists of Olathe, Kansas,” adds Carlson. “She will provide a lead role as Carlson expands into building and architectural layout.”
Jones resides in Durham, North Carolina, USA, with her husband, Joseph.
