Topcon Names Schildroth New Agriculture Manager

Livermore, CA — Rhett Schildroth, former supervisor of program management with the John Deere Company, is the new Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) agriculture products marketing manager.

A graduate of Iowa State and the University of Iowa, Schildroth holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA.

Jamie Williamson, senior vice president for sales and marketing, said Schildroth’s experience with John Deere and the agriculture industry as a whole “gives him the perfect background to help lead Topcon’s efforts in the areas of machine control and precision farming.

“TPS is refocusing its efforts and energy on promoting the products we have – and will have in the future – that make farming practices more productive. Rhett will help lead those efforts.”

“I am excited to join Topcon in the agriculture department,” Schildroth said. “Topcon’s ag land leveling products are second-to-none and will be a solid basis to build the business. Machine control and precision farming practices are being readily adopted by the agriculture community.”

The time is right for Topcon “to take its world-class technologies and products developed for the construction industry to the agri marketplace,” he said. “I am committed to leading this effort.”
