Livermore, CA – Barbara McInerney has been named GIS (Geographical Information Systems) product marketing manager for Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS).
McInerney has more than 12 years experience working in both the public and private sectors of the GIS industry. Before joining TPS, she worked as a GIS specialist for the National Park Service and then spent five years in product training and technical support for Trimble, plus she was also served as a regional sales manager.
McInerney’s primary responsibility will be to support the company’s sales group with GIS product and sales training. Mark Contino, director of international sales and marketing said she will also be in charge of creating a “global product marketing message, literature and tools” to promote the company’s efforts in the expanding GIS market.
Contino said, “Barbara is an extremely talented individual. With the knowledge and experience she brings to our team, she will be an extremely valuable resource for not only our sales and marketing efforts, but for the entire Topcon team as we attack the new GIS business opportunities that exist.”
