Jacksonville, FL — May 22, 2006 — Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Nethery to the position of Survey Project Manager. Nethery has gained with the company nine years of experience in the survey profession.
“I’m honored to receive this promotion, and I’m definitely up for the challenge,” said Mike Nethery, survey project manager for Clary & Associates. “I’ve always enjoyed working in the field, and while my new position brings me inside the office, it’s an adjustment that is proving to be equally rewarding.”
According to Nethery, his responsibilities as Survey Project Manager include: field crew organization and supervision; and processing field information to create surveys and maps for the company’s private and government sector clients.
“Mike has a tremendous work ethic. He’s a consistent performer who stays on top of things,” said Greg Clary, founder and president of Clary & Associates. “Mike’s experience in land surveying, as well as his impressive leadership skills and attention to detail, serve our clients very well. A native of Colorado, Nethery settled in Jacksonville nine years ago and began work with Clary & Associates. Having received many years of hands-on, fieldwork training, he continues to work his way up the ranks of the surveying and mapping profession. Prior to joining the company, Nethery was a general manager for a Houston-based restaurant. He attended Southwest Texas State University, where his studies included computer technology.
In addition to his professional interest in fieldwork, Nethery also is an avid outdoors enthusiast in his spare time. He enjoys golf, tennis and playing flag football. He is a “softball dad” to his daughter Courtney, with whom he also enjoys spending quality family time.
