Merger Expands Both Firms’ Geographic Coverage and Technical Resources

Missoula, Montana – PBS&J announces its acquisition of Land & Water Consulting, Inc., a 43-person engineering and natural resource consulting firm headquartered in Missoula, Montana.

Land & Water specializes in the assessment and restoration of natural resources throughout the Northwest and northern Rockies, and it joins PBS&J as a division of the firm’s Environmental Services. Land & Water has offices in the Montana cities of Missoula, Bozeman, Kalispell, and Helena, and in Spokane, Washington. PBS&J has 70 offices that span the nation, with a focus on growth in the West.

“The merger offers both companies the opportunity to expand geographically and technically. We expect both companies’ clients to benefit,” said PBS&J President Todd J. Kenner, P.E.  “For PBS&J’s clients, Land & Water brings considerable expertise in several key disciplines:  stream and wetland restoration, water resources, environmental assessment and restoration, water rights, and regulatory permitting and compliance. The firm’s commitment to a high standard of excellence complements PBS&J’s own.”

“PBS&J is a national firm with a growing presence in the West. This partnership will enable Land & Water to continue our efforts to offer excellent service to our clients in Montana and throughout the Rocky Mountain West,” said Paul Callahan, president of Land & Water, who now holds the title of vice president and division manager.
