Reno, NV (August 30, 2011) TSX, NYSE: STN – Stantec is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerald (Jerry) Juarez as survey manager for the company’s Reno, Nevada office’s geomatics practice. With nearly 30 years of land surveying experience, Juarez will provide local operational management of the company’s local survey team while supporting new business development and coordinating joint project collaboration with other Stantec offices.

Prior to joining Stantec, Juarez served as survey director for a regional consulting firm specializing in land survey projects for private business and public agency clients located throughout the Western US.. In previous positions, Juarez has served as project manager for public and private client projects in both the Las Vegas and Reno markets. An active leader within the industry, Juarez serves as an advisory board member to the land surveying/geomatics program at Nevada’s Great Basin College and holds a post as chair for the National Society of Professional Surveying’s and Nevada’s Trig-Star Programs, a local math competition event for high school students.
