Lu Engineers New Website Goes Live

Lu Engineers unveiled their new website that showcases an improved navigation and the firms new look.

Rochester, NY – January 3, 2011 — Today Lu Engineers unveiled their new website (www.luengineers.com) that showcases an improved navigation and the firms new look. The new website features an enhanced interface and navigation that allows users to easily find information that is relevant to their business needs. The website was designed around a client-focused approach from the conceptual design through the final design. The firm felt that it was only fitting to apply an approach that they often deploy in their everyday business.

In today’s technologically advanced business environment, a company’s first impression is often made by their website. Especially in the engineering & construction industry, it is one of the first places organizations go to find information about a potential supplier / vendor. After conducting a market survey, the results revealed that the current website did not match with the professional image of the organization. Users also thought the website was cumbersome and difficult to navigate through. Knowing this, the firm realized that potential client’s first impressions would generally misrepresent the firm’s capabilities and strengths.

The new website features an enhanced user interface and navigation that allows users to easily find information that is relevant to their business needs. Marketing Director Tom Murphy goes on to say “Most people come to our website with a purpose. It is our responsibility to immediately connect users with content relevant to their purpose. Rather than show visitors what we want them to see we focused on what they might be looking for. This way, visitors can quickly and efficiently determine if Lu Engineers can offer a potential solution to their problem.”

Simplicity was a major focus during the design. The designer, Archer Communication, felt that too many moving parts and unfamiliar pages would impede the primary function of the site, to connect the user with information that is relevant to them. For this reason, a clean and simple design was implemented. Marketing Director Tom Murphy adds, “We were able to capture the professionalism and class of the firm with a warm, simple look. Websites don’t have to be flashy and eye-popping to be great.” Also, the simplicity of the design allowed for the site to be built using a Content Management System (CMS). The CMS allows for anyone with general knowledge of word processing to update and change the site from any desktop computer with internet access.

Another characteristic that spawned from the client-focused approach is service specific point-of-contacts. Rather than list a main office number or a generic email, visitors can contact the person or department that is directly involved in the field of interest. This streamline of communication saves potential clients time and effort in obtaining information, quotes, or any other service specific needs.

The new Lu Engineers website was conceived and designed by Archer Communication, of whom Lu Engineers has nothing but positive feedback. The firm is confident that their new website is an accurate representation of their services and capabilities. Lu Engineers is dedicated to maintaining their website and to continue offering better ways to inform existing and potential clients of ways that Lu Engineers can assist with their business goals.
