Elko and Ueland Named Principals at Langan

Promoting Leaders in Site/Civil and Environmental Engineering Brings Firm Principal Total to 14

Elmwood Park, New Jersey (May 18, 2010) – Langan Engineering & Environmental Services officially announced that Gregory Elko, P.E., LEED AP, and Steven Ueland, P.E.  have been promoted to Principals in the firm. Both are based in Langan’s Doylestown, Pennsylvania office. Elko and Ueland have risen to the Principal level by providing exceptional technical service to clients in diverse market sectors and through their consistent leadership directing teams of engineers and environmental scientists on complex projects around the country.

Greg Elko is the Principal-in-Charge of the site/civil department of Langan’s Doylestown and Bethlehem, PA offices. He has 17 years experience in site/civil engineering and has coordinated the design, management, and construction of various complex projects in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.  Elko is sought for his proven experience in real estate development projects. His clients range from retail and residential developers to private and public institutions, as well as planners, attorneys, architects, and various regional agencies. Elko has developed and presented at numerous seminars on the topics of stormwater management and sustainable site designs.

Steven Ueland leads a diverse team of scientists, geologists, and engineers providing a broad range of environmental services for major chemical, petroleum, utility, and industrial manufacturing clients. Ueland has nearly 25 years experience in environmental assessment, feasibility analysis, and strategic planning for the design and management of complex remediation/closure projects. His practice includes regulatory compliance management and permitting, and providing ecological assessment for the remediation and restoration of impaired habitat. Ueland is an active speaker who participates on several professional committees, including his role as national trainer for the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council and as a subcommittee chair for the NJ Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association.
