B.P. Barber & Associates is pleased to announce that Thurl M. Amick, Sr., PLS was appointed on May 26, 2006, by Governor Mark Sanford to serve as a Surveyor Member on the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, a division of the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
Mr. Amick, a resident of Simpsonville, SC, is the Survey Manager for the Spartanburg office of B.P. Barber & Associates, has been a licensed Professional Land Surveyor since 1970 and brings to the Board over 45 years experience. He is a current member and two time Past President of the South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors, and has received both their Surveyor of the Year Award and their Life Service Award. Mr. Amick has also received service awards from both Greenville and Spartanburg Technical Colleges.
