Jacksonville, FL — June 23, 2006 — Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers is pleased to announce Mike Bellars as the company’s newest survey crew chief.

As Survey Crew Chief, Bellars oversees a variety of projects performed by the company’s survey field crews, which are comprised of survey technicians, rodmen and instrument operators. His other primary responsibilities include: project management, instrument operation, setting boundaries, compiling field notes; recording topographical, boundary and as-built surveys; and recording wetland locations.
With the majority of his surveying experience gained in the United States Marine Corps, Bellars brings more than nine years of on-the-job experience to his position with Clary & Associates. His previous role as a staff sergeant in Field Artillery Survey included a variety of specialized training, including coursework for Marine Artillery Operations Chief. Bellars’ future career plans include gaining extensive survey experience in the civilian sector, and completing the Survey Technician I and II certification programs.

A native of New York, Bellars has made Jacksonville his home for the past one and a half years. As an outdoors enthusiast, he enjoys golf, NASCAR and football, and he remains a loyal New York Jets fan. Bellars also enjoys traveling and spending quality family time with his young son and daughter.
