Atlanta – January 20, 2006 – Byers Engineering Company celebrates its 35th year of providing premier engineering, AM/FM/GIS software, and records mapping services to the telecommunications and utilities industries. Founded in the state of Georgia in January 1971, Byers is one of the few companies that have been able to retain its’ original name and ownership within this competitive industry. A customer-focused approach has been a constant at Byers–just as the president and core management group have been since the beginning. Byers is proud to have been listed as one of the 50 largest technology firms in Atlanta every year since 1985.
Ken Byers founded the firm with the mission to be an important, technical services firm supporting the telecommunications and utility industries. The firm’s first client was New York Telephone Company (now a part of Verizon) who remains a client today. This is evidence of Byers’ long history of providing clients with high quality products and services that exceed expectations. Since then, the firm has been providing services to all of the Regional Bell Operating Companies, the Independent Telephone Industry, the major Long Distance Carriers, many of the Competitive Local Exchange Carriers, Electric and Gas Utility Companies, Cable Television Companies, Municipalities, and Various Enterprise Customers.
Byers is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and maintains 10 divisional satellite offices throughout the United States, two of which are dedicated exclusively to data services and are utilized as production facilities for our data services projects. All of Byers’ locations contain personnel with extensive mapping and engineering experience.
