The firm has signed a five-year contract with the Florida Department of Revenue to support the tax rolls of all 67 state counties.
Tallahassee, Fla. (April 17, 2018) — The Florida Department of Revenue has selected Woolpert as one of its contractors to acquire 6-inch ortho-rectified digital image data to provide aerial photography products to property appraisers in each of the state’s 67 counties.
This imagery will support the development and analysis of the tax rolls, and will enhance parcel-mapping systems and improve geographic information system (GIS)-related applications for state and county governments.
Woolpert Project Manager Mike Zoltek said this project is intended to fulfill the department’s responsibility to provide aid and assistance to its county property appraisers, who establish the value of each property annually. The firm will supply aerial photography to the Florida Department of Revenue as requested, to support its orthoimagery program to ensure that all real property within the state is captured at least once every three years.
The five-year contract includes a five-year optional renewal period.
