Surveying Professor, TSPS Dallas Past President to Lead McKim & Creed Geomatics Services in Texas

Dallas, TX—Jason Jernigan, RPLS, has joined McKim & Creed as regional manager of geomatics services throughout Texas. He has nearly 20 years’ experience with design-build, oil and gas, and commercial improvement survey projects in Texas and Louisiana, and served as a field artillery surveyor in the US Army. Mr. Jernigan is also an adjunct professor of land surveying at North Lake College in Irving, Texas and past president of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors.

As Texas regional manager, Mr. Jernigan will focus on expanding McKim & Creed’s geomatics services and technologies in Texas. McKim & Creed is the largest surveying firm in the Southeast and entered the Texas market in 2012 with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin. McKim & Creed provides conventional surveying, aerial and mobile LiDAR, unmanned aerial systems (drones), hydrographic surveying and subsurface utility engineering for the transportation, oil and gas, industrial, institutional, health care and land development markets.

Mr. Jernigan has degrees in industrial technology and surveying and mapping technology from the University of Texas at Tyler and Tyler Junior College, respectively. For nearly 10 years he has served as a subject matter expert for the RPLS Exam Cut-Off Score Advisory Committee for the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveyors. Prior to joining McKim & Creed, Mr. Jernigan worked with Halff Associates.
