Joint venture will support a four-year, IDIQ contract through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Norfolk, Va. (April 19, 2017) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk District has contracted with the joint venture of Woolpert-RS&H, LLC for a $10 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide design support.
The four-year contract brings two industry-leading architecture and engineering companies together to work collaboratively to design building structures, such as administration, communications, assembly, storage, training and other support spaces, aircraft maintenance hangars and airfield paving, and stand-alone buildings, which include unheated storage and direct support/general support warehouses.
David Ziegman, Woolpert’s Military market director, said the work at Norfolk will be similar to a recent contract the joint venture signed with the Louisville District to provide design support for the Air Force Reserve Command construction program nationwide.
“Our Woolpert-RS&H team continues to refine its high-quality deliverables within the specific demands of the military environment,” Ziegman said. “We’re proud to be able to provide this needed service and support the Corps and their valued defense and interagency clients.”
