Golden Software Releases Raster Tools, an Add-in for Esri ArcMap

New Add-In Provides Enhanced Interpolation Options for Raster Dataset Creation

Golden, Colo., April 12, 2016Golden Software, LLC, the leading developer of affordable scientific graphics software, announces the release of its newest product, Raster Tools, a powerful Esri® ArcMap add-in that creates accurate and precise raster datasets.

Designed to work seamlessly within ArcMap, Raster Tools provides extensive interpolation methods and control over all interpolation parameters.

Raster Tools offers twelve deterministic and geostatistical interpolation methods. These methods include Kriging, Radial Basis Function, Minimum Curvature, Inverse Distance, Modified Shepard’s Method, Natural Neighbor, Nearest Neighbor, Polynomial Regression, Local Polynomial, Triangulation, Moving Average, and Data Metrics.

Raster Tools also features extensive controls over interpolation parameters to ensure data is accurately represented. These parameters include search controls to determine which data points are considered during the interpolation operation, the ability to use breaklines and faults during the interpolation calculation, and anisotropy settings to apply preferential weighting along a specified direction.

“Raster Tools was developed based on direct feedback from users who wanted the same interpolation controls offered in Golden Software products within the ArcMap environment,” stated Golden Software CEO Blakelee Mills. “We listened to those requests and are excited to enhance the ArcMap ecosystem with the Raster Tools add-in.”

Raster Tools operates as an add-in to Esri® ArcMap 10.3. Raster Tools is now available for a retail price of $24.99 per month or $249.99 per year. Raster Tools includes free maintenance updates and free technical support.
