U.S. Institute of Building Documentation Signs MOU with ACEC Council of Professional Surveyors

Irvine, CA (February 22, 2016): U.S. Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD) founding member Joseph Romano of Langan Engineering & Environmental Services and ACEC Council of Professional Surveyors (COPS) Steering Committee president Ralph W. Guida,of Guida Surveying signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the ACEC winter Conference in Phoenix, AZ. The MOU will provide the members of both organization access to standards, training, and certification processes that will aid in the advancement of spatial documentation.
 
COPS represents professional surveying/geospatial engineering firms looking to strengthen the industry image and business environment by advancing quality professional geospatial services – turning challenges into opportunities.
 
The USIBD has been an innovator in a distinct industry: establishing standards, guidelines and best practices to foster excellence in the productivity, quality, and safety of the documentation process. The codification of ethical practices supports and advances the growing network of professionals dedicated to Building Documentation.
