Leading LiDAR Expert, Tim Blak, Joins Atlantic

Huntsville, Ala. (January 5, 2016) – Tim Blak, a leading expert in LiDAR, Geodesy and advanced remote sensing has been named Atlantic’s Vice President of Technology. Atlantic is a growing Huntsville-based company specializing in remote sensing, surveying and consulting services.

In his new role, Blak will serve as a member of Atlantic’s Executive Team to ensure Atlantic’s technological advancement, strengthen existing quality assurance/quality control practices, and focus on problem solving to increase client satisfaction.

Tim Blak has over 28 years of proven success utilizing advanced technologies to solve complex geospatial issues within enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Engineering environments. He is a nationally known subject matter expert on LiDAR and how to utilize the technology and products to develop new and to improve existing business processes resulting in better decision making for assessing risk and mitigation. He is a Surveyor Photogrammetrist, Geodetic Land Surveyor, and holds a Geographical Information Systems Technologist Diploma from Algonquin College, Ottawa ON.
