Lokeren, Belgium, April 28th, 2015 – Orbit GeoSpatial Technologies will showcase new real-time edge detection tools for pointclouds at the upcoming RIEGL UC, Hong Kong, May 5-8 2015.
“We’ve been working hard to improve our high-end pointcloud measuring tools, and a paramout edge-detection feature is one of them“, says Peter Bonne, CEO at Orbit GT. “The RIEGL scanners produce very nice pointclouds in which edge-detection is very gratifying. This simplifies every feature extraction job as edges are most likely what needs to be retained, and our edge-detection precisely snaps to the edges.”
Edge-detection tools will be included in the upcoming version 11.1 release of the Orbit Mobile Mapping portfolio, Feature Extraction products.
