Topographic’s Robert Stokes Receives GISP Certification

Fort Worth, TX – Topographic, Inc., a complete-service specialist in land surveying and mapping for traditional and emerging energy technologies, congratulates Robert Stokes, GIS Manager, on his recent certification as a GIS Professional (GISP) by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).

GISP accreditation certifies a professional has met the minimum standards for ethical conduct and professional practice as established by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).

GISCI certification requires achievement in three areas: educational achievement, professional experience, and contributions to the profession. Through certification, the GISCI recognizes Robert’s first-rate professional competence and integrity in the field of GIS.

“Robert’s commitment, integrity, and expertise have been widely recognized by our company, his colleagues, our clients,” said Sage Earnest, Director of Pipeline Services. “This GISP certification serves as confirmation of his professional capabilities and dedication. Topographic looks forward to supporting his continued professional development through the GISCI program’s recertification process."

The GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) is an independent, non-profit organization providing the GIS community with a complete certification program. There are currently less than 400 Certified GIS Professionals (GISPs) in the State of Texas. For more information, please visit www.gisci.org.
