Canonsburg, PA, May 8, 2014: Dawood Engineering, Inc. (Dawood) is proud to welcome Joy M. Ruff, AICP as the Director of Planning & Community Relations. Ms. Ruff will focus on supporting Dawood’s energy clients, leading planning projects in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, & West Virginia, and providing community outreach for the company and its clients. She will be based in Dawood’s Pittsburgh Regional Office in Canonsburg.
Ms. Ruff has over 20 years of experience of planning and community outreach, across public and private sectors. Most recently, she served as the Community Outreach Manager for the Marcellus Shale Coalition, managing complex external relationships to support advocacy efforts for the oil and gas industry operating in the Appalachian Basin. She led efforts to help operators build partnerships and positive relationships with governmental entities at local, county and state levels across Pennsylvania. Ms. Ruff is also an experienced planner, specifically in the transportation and municipal sectors, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
