Rochester Hills, MI (April 1, 2014) – Spalding DeDecker Associates, Inc. (SDA), a national civil engineering, landscape architectural, and surveying firm, hires David E. Richmond, PE as a Project Manager within their Engineering Department. With more than 28 years of experience in the engineering industry, Mr. Richmond will manage engineering design projects for both municipal and private development clients.
Mr. Richmond earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1996 from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in Michigan, North Carolina, and Virginia and is a member of the American Public Works Association.
Mr. Richmond’s primary focus will be the management of water/wastewater and water resources projects. These include sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) control programs, detailed drainage studies, watershed master plans, design of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems, design of water distribution systems and facilities, and design of natural stream channels. He is an advocate of Green Infrastructure and Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and has significant knowledge of Michigan Department of Transportation, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and FEMA permitting requirements and technical standards.
