Westlake Consultants, Inc. ended 2013 on a high note, naming three new associate principals. Charles ‘Bob’ Blair, Jr., LSIT, Shad Haney, and Chris Kaleikilo, were recognized for their leadership, expertise, and role in business development. They join co-founders, Judi Haney and Len Schelsky, PLS, as well as Michael Hargrave, PLS, Principal, Vice President – Survey Division, and Associates Lee Leighton, AICP, Director of Planning; Gary Anderson, PLS, Senior Project Surveyor; and Bernard Smith, PE, PLS, Director of Engineering.
Charles Robert ‘Bob’ Blair, Jr., LSIT
Bob leads Westlake’s precise 3D industrial measurement and 3D laser scanning division. Bob joined Westlake is 1996, and draws on 20 years of experience in all aspects of surveying to meet challenges related to complex 3D geometry. Bob is adept at understanding and meeting client needs combining and managing projects that require 3D scan as-builts or high-tolerance 3D capabilities for dimensional control. Sample projects include marine vessel work, high-tech Fab development services, and specialized steel fabrication.
Shad Haney
Shad joined Westlake in 2004, after serving as a project manager for a large heavy construction firm. At Westlake, he offers leadership and guidance for future business development. Shad provides project management and QA/QC review for the firm’s civil infrastructure design and construction projects. He also works extensively with owners, agencies, and contractors for prompt resolution of conflicts, for design interpretation and constructability/value engineering modification, and code compliance. Shad graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management.
Chris Kaleikilo
Since joining Westlake in 1992, Chris has managed field work and survey crews for a broad range of projects, including heavy construction, high tolerance 3D industrial measurement projects and long-term pipeline surveying for design and construction. As a Survey Crew Chief, he was recognized for his ability to direct the efforts of multiple field crews to meet client needs. As an Associate, Chris provides on-site leadership for industrial measurement services including client liaison, schedule performance, and crew direction for complex projects.
