January 27, 2014 – We are pleased to announce that Thomas (Tom) Chicca has joined the firm as Vice President and General Manager of the Rockville office. Mr. Chicca will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Rockville office and will serve as a member of the Soltesz Executive Committee.
Mr. Chicca brings over 35 years’ experience in the field of civil engineering throughout the Baltimore /Washington Metropolitan region. His experience in operations is broad based over a wide range of civil engineering services and projects including industrial, commercial, residential, retail, survey and municipals of varying complexity and size.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mr. Chicca is the recipient of the 2013 SAME Blue Ridge Post Presidents Award for Excellence and is currently a Task Force Leader for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, where he works with volunteers to plan and organize the Baltimore Washington Ride for kids, an annual fund raising event.
