Colorado – September 12, 2013 – McLaughlin Water Engineers, a division of Merrick & Company, (www.merrick.com) welcomes new members to the firm’s corporate office. “We’re excited to have Michael and Brian join our team,” said Peter Binney, PE, Vice President of Sustainable Infrastructure with Merrick. “Their contributing talents and reputation in the water market is outstanding and will be a great asset to Merrick,” added Binney.
Michael R. Galuzzi, PE, PMP, joins Merrick as a senior drainage engineer and will focus on supporting the firm’s storm drainage and flood control projects. With 36 years of experience, he offers expertise in design of major drainageway improvements, open channel hydraulics, storm drainage systems, storm water quality/detention storage facilities, stream stabilization measures, and storm drainage master plans. Galuzzi holds a Master of Science in civil engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Cornell University.
Brian E. Chevalier, PE, PMP, recently joined Merrick as a senior drainage engineer. He brings 29 years of experience in planning, design, and management of civil and hydraulic specialty projects. Additionally, Chevalier is a registered professional engineer in CO, MT, ID, and ND. He is currently a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as well as the Project Management Institute. He holds a Master of Science in hydrology and water resources from Colorado State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Vermont.
