Merrick & Company’s Geospatial Solutions Team Achieves ISO Certification

Merrick & Company’s (www.merrick.com)  Geospatial Solutions (GSS) team is pleased to announce that it has achieved certification for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 Quality Management System requirements.

The ISO program is the source of internationally recognized quality, environmental, and other management standards for business, government and society. Merrick’s ISO 9001:2008 certification applies to the processes that influence product or service quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. In achieving this level of certification, Merrick’s quality management system, a highly efficient and robust program, was independently audited by an accredited registrar and confirmed as being in conformity with the ISO standards.

Sanford Johnston, Merrick’s Quality Assurance Coordinator stated, “Merrick’s GSS group operates as a process-based organization. We’re well known for our high quality standards and we believe that by adopting a process based quality management system, such as ISO 9001:2008, we can provide immediate benefits to our clients as well as our own firm. With the ISO standards in place, we are able to further refine our craft, reduce waste, and get the job done right the first time.”
