Merrick & Company Awarded New Contracts

Colorado – April 15, 2013 – Merrick & Company (www.merrick.com) has been awarded several new contracts including:

Merrick Nuclear Services & Technology team recently received a contract modification under and existing contract to continue its work for the design of enclosed process systems for the Y-12 Uranium Processing Facility (UPF). The UPF and its associated systems are proposed for construction at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN.

Merrick Energy has been awarded a contract by Calumet Refining to design the systems around a new crude desulfuring unit through front end planning in Calumet, MT. Big West Oil contracted Merrick to design upgrades to the refinery’s fire water system in Salt Lake City, UT.

Merrick Life Sciences was awarded a contract by Smithcarter Architects for the JC Wilt Infectious Disease Research in Winnipeg, Canada. Due to an extended construction period for the project, Merrick will continue to provide commissioning services.
 
Merrick Civil Infrastructure received a contract from Community Concepts Colorado to provide final civil engineering design for two roundabouts at the I-70/Wolcott interchange in Wolcott, CO. Merrick also received a task order to provide preliminary engineering design to modify an existing dam to improve river safety for the City of Florence, AL.

Merrick Private Development was awarded an additional task order from Lennar Homes to provide construction documents for a recently purchased property in Lancaster County, SC.
   
Merrick Geospatial Services (GSS) was issued a contract for the third phase of work with Tri-State Generation and Transmission in Westminster, CO. For this project, Merrick will be providing aerial light detection and ranging (LiDAR) surveys for up to 2,600 lines miles of transmission line mapping to support HDR, Inc. in verification of conductor to ground clearances. Merrick was also awarded an aerial mapping services contract for 90 highway corridor miles for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The deliverables will be used for engineering design and construction.
