Colorado – March 14, 2013 – Merrick & Company (www.merrick.com) took first place in multiple categories at the Rocky Mountain Summit conference that include wins for GIS Mapping, Boundary Mapping and High Definition Surveying (HDS). In fact, the firm placed first in ALL the award categories that were offered. Merrick also received “Best of Show” for their presentation of an innovative 3D visualization that utilizes digital holographic technology.
The awards event is part of the State Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado chapter. The annual awards program allows participants to show off their best maps in four categories, including: 1) Boundary Map, Plat or Mineral Survey; 2) Topographic Map or ALTA Map; 3) GIS Map or Information/Analysis Mapping; and finally 4) Other Map or HDS Scan, LiDAR, Photogrammetry, Mobile Mapping. Winners were judged on originality, aesthetics and overall impressiveness.
