Merrick's Fix Joins Board of the Aviation Taskforce

Colorado – February 21, 2013 – Merrick & Company’s (www.merrick.com) Barney Fix, PE, PMP, recently joined the Adams County Economic Development’s Aerospace & Aviation Taskforce as the Co-Chair. The taskforce meets bimonthly with a goal of promoting the aerospace and aviation industries in Adams County as well as all of Colorado. In his position, Fix will continue the mission of the committee, connect with others in the industry, provide support to the committee, and offer his leadership on their objectives. Fix was voted in to the position and will fill a two-year term.

Fix stays active within his industry and has offered leadership with Adams County EDC, Denver South EDC, AWWA, ACEC, Distributer Liaison Forum, Project Management Professional, Denver Water Distributor’s Rates and Fees Technical Advisory Committee, and the Civil Engineering Advisory Board for Colorado State University.. He offers over 35 years of experience in civil engineering and is a Sr. Project Manager/Vice President for Merrick. His responsibilities include managing civil engineering projects of various types of infrastructure including, but not limited to large-scale land development, quasi-municipal utility districts, water supply, wastewater and drainage systems; and roadway systems. Fix is a key member of Merrick’s Infrastructure team.
