Dawood Names Nick Brien as Associate

Harrisburg, PA, October 15, 2012: Dawood Engineering, Inc. (Dawood) is proud to announce that Nicholas Brien, PE, has been named an Associate of the company.

Nick serves as Dawood’s Director of Bridge Engineering Services, leading the company’s bridge design group. Working out of the firm’s Grantville Office, he will continue to lead that team as an Associate. During his tenure with Dawood, he has developed relationships with a variety of clients encompassing transportation, Design-Build, and private development projects. A recent example of such projects is Dawood’s work on the Design-Build project for rehabilitation of the Simerell Road Bridge over Interstate 81, in South Abington Township, Lackawanna County, PA.

In addition to his professional accomplishments at Dawood, Nick is a committed volunteer in the engineering industry. He has served as President of Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of Central PA, Younger Member President of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Co-Coordinator for Future City Competition. Nick is also an active member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition Road Use Committee – Bridge Subcommittee.
