Livermore, Calif. – July 24, 2012 –Topcon Positioning Systems’ (TPS) Argentinean distributor Geosistemas is now offering the IP-S2 HD mobile mapping system. Geosistemas is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will have the IP-S2 available beginning in July.
Topcon’s IP-S2 HD integrates high-density 3D LiDAR data with digital imagery and its advanced technology is changing the way data is collected and managed. The system simplifies the GIS data collection process by collecting enormous amounts of detailed 3D data in one pass eliminating re-visits to the field.
The company’s business plan is two-fold: Geosistemas will act as a sales agent for the IP-S2 HD. The company will provide collection services, hardware sales and technical services for customers and agencies which need comprehensive 3D data.
The dealer / service provider model will enable the company to serve a wide range of Argentinian mapping needs.
