Bowyer-Singleton Announces Award Of Two New Land Development Projects

Orlando, FL. (June 1, 2012) – Bowyer-Singleton, one of Florida’s leading civil engineering and surveying firms, is providing design services for the Colonial Grand at Randal Park project, a development of Colonial Properties Trust, that will break ground on its 462 unit luxury apartment homes in June 2012. The property is located on Dowden Road, at the northwest corner of the new interchange for the SR 417, near Medical City, in the City of Orlando. This project consists of a variety of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units, centered around two lakes, with a community clubhouse and pool area located at the gated main entrance. Bowyer-Singleton made extensive efforts to preserve and protect two large wetland areas and to design the sites’ storm drainage as natural lake features, in order to create a park-like environment for the multi-family buildings. Significant design effort was taken to provide on-site storm drainage and underground utilities, while meeting the developer’s program and preserving the adjacent wetlands and other natural areas. Occupancy of the first residential units is expected in June 2013.

The company also announced it is providing design services for the Colonial Grand at Lake Mary project, a development of Colonial Properties Trust, that will break ground on its 108 unit 2nd phase in June 2012. This phase will include its own pool and cabana area and have a separate entrance on Business Center Drive, just south of Heathrow Park Lane. Bowyer-Singleton made extensive efforts to preserve and protect large Live Oak trees on the property in order to create a park-like environment for the multi-family buildings. Significant design effort was taken to provide storm drainage piping and underground utilities, while meeting the developer’s program and preserving the Live Oaks and other trees. Occupancy of the first residential units is expected in January 2013.
