Aurora, CO – March 15, 2012 – Merrick & Company’s (www.merrick.com) geospatial solutions group is currently working with HDR Engineering, Inc (HDR) and is serving the Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration group. In conjunction with HDR, Merrick is providing LiDAR surveying and engineering services in the Upper Great Plains Region for conductor rating and clearance assessments. Merrick surveyed lines span 1,116 miles crossing North and South Dakota. Merrick is utilizing its helicopter sensor platform for data collection and providing PLS-CADD ready classified LiDAR data, color ortho imagery, and high resolution color forward and aft oblique structure imagery.
