Aurora, CO – February 9, 2012 – Christopher Sherry, PE, with Merrick & Company (www.merrick.com) has been promoted to the position of senior vice president, where his responsibilities include leading the firm’s Business and Corporate Development Group, it was announced by Ralph W. Christie, Jr. PE, Chairman and CEO. “We’re pleased to have Chris expand his leadership role at Merrick. He has had tremendous influence in our employee-owned company during his many years with the company.” “I look forward to Chris’ impact on Merrick’s continued growth in his new position and contributions to Merrick’s ‘Vision 2020’ program,” added Christie.
Some of Sherry’s responsibilities in his new position include the planning, development and implementation of the company’s business development, marketing and merger & acquisition programs, including all subsidiaries.
Sherry has worked out of Merrick’s company office located in Aurora, Colorado, for over 22 years. Prior to this promotion, he has served in the capacity of vice president, corporate services, where he oversaw the company’s financial services, information technology, risk management, and stock programs.
As a registered professional engineer, Sherry has held significant leadership positions in the project management and design of many of Merrick’s military and government projects. Sherry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master of Business Administration from Daniels College of Business, University of Denver.
