New Contracts Position Wade Trim for Success in 2012

Tampa, Fla. – Solidifying its position as a professional service and engineering leader in the Sunshine State, Wade Trim has secured multiple, new contracts for projects throughout Florida. As a leading water/wastewater, utilities, transportation, civil engineering, and planning firm, Wade Trim will start work this year on the following:
 
• Urban modifications and lane reduction for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Located in FDOT’s District 7, which encompasses several West Central Florida counties, this project will include a drainage storm sewer Inventory, traffic operations, pedestrian and ADA upgrades, signing and marking, streetscaping and landscaping, and roadway design. The 19-month project will improve US-41/SR 585 and 21st/22nd streets from SR 60 to SR 600. Contract value: between $500,000 and $1 million.

• Economic evaluation for the “Future of Hillsborough County Comprehensive Plan.” Working with the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission, Wade Trim will assess economic potential for the area and provide a comprehensive report for leading Hillsborough County into the future. Contract value: $23,500.

• Roadway design for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Through a single contract, Wade Trim will provide engineering services and construction plans for the widening and resurfacing of several Seminole Tribe roadways located throughout the State. Contract value: $374,600.

• General engineering contract for Seminole Tribe of Florida. Engineers at Wide Trim will provide a variety of civil engineering, design, testing and inspection services for the Seminole Tribe. As professional services are required by the Tribe, Wade Trim will be assigned a diverse range of projects to be implemented to address the Tribe’s infrastructure needs. Contract value: $99,999.

• Henry Avenue Lift Station Improvements and Upgrades for the City of West Melbourne. To address the growing needs of the City’s infrastructure, Wade Trim will design and provide construction engineering services for a new lift station at Henry Avenue in West Melbourne to improve the City’s wastewater operations. Contract value: $65,000.

• General engineering services for Cape Canaveral and Patrick Air Force bases. Engineers at Wade Trim will serve the water, wastewater and civil design needs for these military bases and the Kennedy Space Center. This is a one year contract with three one-year extensions. Contract value: $500,000.

• Owner’s Representative and Construction Management Services for the Village of Islamorada’s Wastewater Collection and Treatment System. Wade Trim was selected to assist the Village in the procurement of a Design-Build-Operate-Finance (DBOF) Team to design, construct and operate a centralized sewer system for Islamorada. Once the DBOF Team is procured, Wade Trim will provide Owner’s Representative and Construction Management services during the implementation of the $150 million project. Contract value: Initially $325,000 with potential increases to $11.5 million over four years.

• Pinellas County Utilities Continuing Services Contract. To assist the County in implementing utility related projects from the Capital Improvement Program, Wade Trim was selected to provide design and construction engineering services to the County’s water and wastewater systems. Contract value: $1,000,000.

• Seven Springs Wastewater Utility System Reuse Expansion Project. After entering into a cooperative funding agreement with SWFWMD for partial funding of the reclaimed system improvements, the Florida Governmental Utility Authority hired Wade Trim to design an expansion of their existing reuse storage and pumping facilities at the Seven Springs WWTP. Project includes a 3 million gallon ground storage tank, transfer pumps, and ancillary piping. Contract value: $330,000.
