Discussion Topics
Held in question-and-answer format to promote audience participation, this year’s discussion topics will focus on:
• Intelligence: Location awareness, connectivity and context-aware, mobile-aware services running in the mobile cloud will automatically integrate with local services offered by the surrounding environment to achieve a fully, context-aware smart environment. This environment will empower consumers, enterprises, service providers and industries with an intelligent information flow.
• Integration: The next generation of devices, networks and applications will have to be location-aware not only when we are outdoors but also when we are indoors. New applications will take advantage of ubiquitous location awareness to enhance our daily lives.
• Impact: We live in a mobile world, and with the development of always-on connectivity and location-aware applications and devices, our daily lives will continue to change. We are now more aware of our surroundings, and so are the networks. How will we protect our privacy and security in this new ecosystem? What role should regulators play?

Fast Pitches
This year’s event again features the popular FastPitch presentations. Six finalists will present five-minute, high-intensity use-case demonstrations that showcase the benefits of using the power of location to enhance the daily lives of individuals, enterprises and industries as part of the location ecosystem.
