Rochester Hills, MI (October 12, 2011) – Spalding DeDecker Associates, Inc. (SDA), a regional civil engineering, landscape architectural, and surveying firm, hires Jason Matteo, PE, CFM, a hydrology/hydraulic modeling expert.
Jason Matteo, PE, CFM will serve as a Project Manager in the Municipal Engineering Department. His responsibilities will include project management of a variety of studies and modeling projects. Mr. Matteo earned a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University and a Masters of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Wayne State University and holds a professional engineering license in Michigan. He is a Certified Floodplain Manager through the Association of State Floodplain Managers, a Certified Storm Water Management Operator through the Michigan Deparment of Environmental Quality, and Confined Space Entry trained. Mr. Matteo is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of State Floodplain Managers. Mr. Matteo has more than 11 years of experience developing complex hydrologic/hydraulic computer models for the design of water distibution networks and sewer and drainage systems. His experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-6, HEC-FFA, TR-55, SWMM4 and SWMM5, EPANET, WaterCAD, StormCAD, MODFLOW, ArciewGIS, and GeoMedia Pro will expand SDA’s current modeling capabilities. Mr. Matteo previously worked as a Project Manager for Applied Science, Inc.
